Doing business
with Monkeywholesale, who has now changed his email address
(sale.monkeywholesale) to escape communications due to the misrepresentation
of his sale to me of an auto, has been extremely disappointing and borders on fraudulent. EBAY item #2407672881…in
his advertisement on 1996 Nissan Pathfinder stated “lots of new parts”
including “new front
struts” was completely false. Not only were they not new, they
were so badly damaged that the vehicle cannot be driven unless they are
replaced because it is dangerous to drive.
I tried negotiating with the seller numerous times and explained that
the vehicle needed about $2000.00+ worth of work, but all I was asking him to
do was live up to his advertisement and replace the front struts as stated in
his ad. I gave him prices and asked him
to call around and confirm prices. I
gave him the mechanics phone to speak with him: I had eBay warranty come out
and take pictures of the vehicle and parts and they concluded that all the
things listed wrong with the vehicle were indeed true. Now I didn’t ask him for anything that wasn’t
stated in his add, he at first agreed to live up to his ad, then he changed his
email and blocked my phone from his and refused to communicate further. He said he was positive they were new front
struts, yet does not have, nor has been able to produce and receipts to confirm
his allegations. The seller feels that
I got a ‘good buy’. Now, a good buy is one that doesn’t require mediation, nor false statements,
misrepresentation, lack of communication and $2000.00 worth of work. If he
felt it was such a “GOOD BUY” he did not accept my offer to ‘buy’ it back. All of a sudden it wasn’t such a “good
buy’ to him anymore. I had to get eBay
purchase insurance department involved and gave them all the pertinent
documents and they also concluded that I was being fair and they will submit a
report back to eBay on this entire process and the sellers failure to negotiate
and live up to his advertisement. On top of all this the seller is acting as a
wholesaler and I believe (?) he does not hold a wholesalers license (he never
supplied me with one). Let me conclude
that lots of new parts…don’t seem to even add up to new hoses or belts. The vehicle has @ 109,000 miles and has the
original hose and belts on the vehicle.
What parts were new? The vehicle
has a cracked manifold and exhaust, needed rear shocks and front brakes, new
water pump and timing belt(was leaking so badly has rusted the case),and valve
cover gaskets are leaking among many other things that need to be repaired that
I haven’t asked the seller for. I only
requested he live up to his advertisement and he refused! This entire
experience with this seller has been nothing but a trouble and lies and
falsehoods. I would never in my life do
business with the person again, and I advise you to do the same. He falsely list
products, doesn’t stand by his advertisements,
nor did he even allow me to return the merchandise…now if it was such a
good deal and he were reputable he would have done any or all of these
things. Instead he changed his names and
phone to avoid having to live up to his product. All that stinks of a liar and cheat to me, a
person of poor character trying to scam people for his own benefit …a
DELIBERATE scam! Don’t let this be YOU,
don’t purchase or TRUST this seller!
